Self assesment

1. The most important thing I learned in typography, that's a tough one I would have say the placement of the type (creating positive and negative space) treating it more like a design than actual copy, as well as checking the leading, and not using too many different fonts in one page (in fact that is probably one of the most important in my opinion.)
2. I think I have a decent understanding so far of what is and is not good typography I think I just need to be a bit more creative in the way I use type as it can have a tendency to look dry.
3.

Effective use of typographic contrast 5

Effective development of typographic rhythm 6

Design of typographic compositional unity 6 or 7

Creation of an effective typographic sequence 6 or 7

Ability to achieve balance 7

Ability to create harmony 7

4.

Your understanding of typographic form and counter form. 5

Your ability to develop typographic texture 5

Your ability to integrate color with type. 7

Your ability to compose with type in a compositional space effectively. 6 or 7

Your ability to utilize a grid to structure type.4

Your ability to utilize non-grid based systems to structure type 6

Your ability to visually express content via type. 6 or 7

Your ability to convey content within a purely formal application of type. 6

5. I would say that I need to work on typing and designing on a grid structure, and this would really be helpful in advancing my typographic skills.

6.Hmm that's also a tough question what I need to know is how to better create a brilliant design using only type.
